Ditto our 1st gen 19, (mid Sep 2013). Still quite happy with the sliding windows and the manual awning, and the classic shape. Maybe the RM8551 not so much. It came prewired for a/c. Did need to add velcro strips to keep the dinette cushions from flopping. Also not crazy about the telescoping screen door mechanism.

Our 19' was picked up from Escape in April 2013. We have had the 3" frame upgraded for each of the 2 frame recalls.

Iím not sure of a comparison between the Gen 1 19 and the Gen 2 19, but Iíll tell you our 2020 19 is WAY heavier than our 2007 17B, Way heavier, and no I havenít weighed it. Buts itís awesome so whatever, I bought a bigger truck, grunt.

21C

We decided on the 21C for thses reasons: :
A. we like the rear dinette..and didn't want to sit in front and look at the road, or bath house or back of our truck. WE usually prefer the rear view
B. we measured and estimated the 'walkaround space' at the rear bed wd decrease our interior storage by about 20 cu ft
C. we like the extra room in the walkway to get 'past the kitchen area' and don't mind the smallish front bath, bks the side bath encroaches into the interior space and it kinda made is feel as if we were still in our old Casita.
D. with the center open area of our C model, we have actually used a std 'Pak n Play" crib for a young grandchild.

Therefore the C model works for us.

Dave Walter, we bought our '09 19 from the original owner in 2019. The frame was reinforced on each side at the front of the trailer box by a certified welder using parts and instructions provided by Escape Trailer Industries. The original owner kept meticulous records and left no indication that there was a second recall. I have never seen any other reference to a second recall on the frames. Can you tell me what the other recall was?

George: If your front frame sections on both sides looks like the picture in the post below then you are fine. The original recall was the gusset plate at the A-frame joint and an additional body mount. The second recall was the square tubing underneath and another body mount. The first recall affected all 3" frames with a welded A-frame (not bent) but Escape ultimately determined that only the 19 really needed it. The second recall issued was only for the 19.
