Formica trim instead of rubberish bead

Has anyone asked ETI to continue the Formica on the vertical edge instead of using one of the 3 rubber options?

I have not asked ETI about this, but I'm curious to know if your interest is a thermoformed 'rolled-radius edge' or a sharp edge with an exposed line of mismatched core-color absent the use of special "ColorCore" laminate or a sharp edge using "ColorCore" laminate?

Each has it's own aesthetic and tactile characteristics and each has different requirements and shape limitations when dealing with countertop / tabletop corners (a corner in plan-view being distinct from the top edge in section-view).

Thermoformed radius edges cannot be combined with radiused corners (you can't bend Formica in two axis' even with thermoforming).

ColorCore yields a 'sharp edge' though can be applied to a radius corner within limitations; but, it is not to be installed on plywood substrate (ETI's default) and requires very particular installation skillsets, tools, techniques, and adhesives differing substantially from those used by ETI given the way they normally finish the edges.

IF ETI entertains a discussion of something different than their default, I urge you please be darned sure y'all are talking apples-to-apples in every detail to avoid surprise and disappointment - be sure to address all of the edges and corners in your discussion. There are lots of ways to do 'Formica all-laminate edges' but they can vary significantly in effect, aesthetic appeal, and customer satisfaction. Detail edge cross-section drawings and plan-view corner treatment drawings are highly recommended to avoid unfortunate misunderstandings.

Then there's other edge treatments using 'solid core edging' rather than laminate, or even solid wood edging .... but that's another subject.

Just FYI, Have Fun!

I was wondering the same thing but I was thinking I'd change it aftermarket and use this gray trim I found on Amazon.

I will take that as a no.

Thanks for filling in several blanks that I had about 1/2” of depth of understanding about.
