I bought the accu rite thermometer and have had similar experience to Jon's. It will read fine and then the temp of one or both go haywire and start rising. Due to all the refrigerator mania here I initially thought I was having fridge problem, but it was the accu rite malfunctioning. I use the lithium batteries and the receiving unit is within 3-4 ft. I find that I have to occasionally take the batteries out of all the sensors/receiver and let them sit awhile then put it back and it works correctly for awhile. Hope no one turned a fridge in as defective based on this particular thermometer's readings. I am going to get a manual old style thermometer just to spot check with more accuracy and reliability.

Works for me.
I can see a great deal of merit to this method

I'm convinced that the more monitoring devices you have, the higher your stress level. I'm going to borrow my wife's Fitbit to confirm my theory.

Based on all the input from the forum, I picked up a $16 CAD Accu-Temp at Canadian Tire. It only reads indoor and outdoor and Min/Max. KISS.

Kinda limits how far you can drive in a day, eh?

Ever since I bought this infra-red thermometer to pin point a hot water leak under my slab I've found it very handy in many ways. I can shoot different parts of the fridge to find the coldest and warmest spots, I've learned a lot about packing the refer and air flow.....Just how much is enough for cold air circulation .I'll shoot the outside wall behind the refer to to see the effect of direct sun on refer temps.

You can see just how much colder the bathroom is if you leave the door closed on a cold night when the heater has been running. Burr ....It's a lot colder.

I could have bought a case of beer.
I got this Accu-Temp synched. Indoor ( Monitor ) reads 77.2 degrees F.
Outdoor ( Sensor ) has been in the fridge for 10 minutes and was reading 78 F.
Played with Min/Max and now In is 77.4F and Out is 77.2F.

Stuck sensor in the freezer and it still read 77.2F for some 10 minutes. Finally it dropped to 32.4F. I'd but I'll bide my time.

Yup. I don't want to be a Kirk running the Enterprise. And that's why I have a 15A.

It depends on your personality. More monitoring devices doesn't increase my stress level at all -- in fact, it reduces my stress. Maybe it's because of my occupation, but I like data. I like to know what's going on with the various systems. The problem with blanket statements is that the blanket often doesn't cover everyone.

Having said that though, I don't monitor my fridge temperature. As long as the milk, the juice and the beer are cold, I'm fine.

Don't shoot the Lagunitas Craig! It's best served cold and straight out of the bottle!

Even with the fridge working well, I like my cooler in the back of the Highlander. I spend about all day out side and I like to keep my beverages in the cooler. Quick access and Rita don't pay much attention to how many trips I make to it. Bill S will even put my ice in it when I forget it in the front seat.

I think Glenn is aging that hammer until it reaches a perfect patina..... makes it look like he has done a lot of work.

It's an Estwing framing hammer. Been out in the side shed with all my other rusting tools for a couple decades. I tried spraying WD-40 like Glade, but it hasn't helped.
