Gale L. 'The Bear'
Hello Everyone,
I just wanted to share some information for those of you who know Gale 'The Bear' at the request of his wife Betty.
I know some of you may know Gale from the Bullard's Beach Rallies and of course the Escape Trailer Rally as he has been organizing the Bocci Ball Tournament for the past three years.
On September 23, Gale came down with what Betty thought was the flu however, within a few hours she realized it was much more than just a flu and rushed Gale to the doctors and then into the hospital. - He was not doing well and within a few days was on life support.
Last weekend they had hoped to take Gale off of life support however, he was still not breathing on his own with the exception of the odd random breath.
This morning however, Gale was finally taken off of life support and for the first time in two weeks is breathing on his own.
The last two weeks have been very difficult for Betty and she is hoping that a few extra thoughts, prayers and words will help Gale continue his fight.
Gale and Betty are one of our original customers they followed us for several years and purchased their very first 17' Escape when they retired in 2006. Then in 2009, they upgraded to a 19' Escape as Gale decided to make retirement a permanent thing.
If we could offer Gale and Betty a couple of warm wishes and prayers as he has shown he is not ready to leave her quite yet it would be greatly appreciated.
Thank you,
Tammy and Reace

Tammy and Reace, thanks for letting us know. In 2013 at the Oregon Gathering, Gale and Betty were parked right across the street from Dave&Kathie in B-Loop. Saw them and that big ole stuffed bear a lot.
My best thoughts and prayers go out to them both.

Yeah, thanks for letting us know. I know Lisa and I enjoy their company A LOT. They are a couple of our favourite people to spend time with at the Escape Rallies, and both are extremely warm and welcoming.
Best wishes to the both of them, and a big ol' bear hug too.

We were neighbors at the Oregon gathering and had lunch in town (at the Crab Shack of course). What a nice, fun couple! We told them we were pondering the 21 and they gave us the inside scoop on Escape (all good!).
All our best wishes to you Gale and Betty. Here's hoping for a speedy recovery. Our thoughts and prayers are with you.
Dave & Kathie
PS We bought a 21 and hope to see you at the Escape Rally.

Haven't had the pleasure of meeting Gale and Betty yet; however, we definitely send healing thoughts their way. Have to believe that positive vibes from the Escape Family will go a long way in hastening Gale's recovery.

Hello Everyone,
Just a quick update on Gale.
After a very emotional week many ups and downs .... he is now doing very well. He went in for some tests earlier this week and as of this afternoon there is talk that next week he may be able to head home at the end of the week.
Betty wants to thank everyone for their prayers, thoughts and wishes. She said 'A Great Big Kiss for All'!!!!
Happy Thanksgiving.
