i bought the 17 inch Blackstone griddle. i really like it. I use my Weber for steaks & grilling but the Blackstone is great for breakfast and other cooking fajitas etc....not too big. but for a small group its wonderful

I bought one too and love it also.

Here's how to set it up to run off your propane quick connect, 1 lb tank, or 20 lb tank.

quick propane / grill question

I bought a light weight griddle that sits on top of the BBQ grates. What is the advantage of a Blackstone over my set-up?

if yours works great then no advantage. I put a griddle on my barbecues grates and i couldn't get it hot enough. I'm very happy with my new set up easy to clean up. But i do end up hauling one more thing although most of the weight is the griddle top its self.

I bought an inexpensive T Fal griddle which fits perfectly on our portable gas grill.
I can even close the grill lid with the griddle in place , which helps keep food warm
The griddle takes up little space and costs under $10
We’ve used a Blackstone griddle when cooking for a crowd on fishing / hunting trips but for just the two of us , the small griddle works just fine .
