Happy Thanksgiving

Happy Thanksgiving to all my Escape family. I have a lot to be thankful for as this year wraps up. Good health, prosperity, and happiness. How about you? Are you going to enjoy your holiday in your Escape traveling and camping this year?
As for us, we are joining friends and family at a TX hill country ranch with our 5.0. Cooking turkeys, lots of eating, some deer hunting, and enjoying the outdoors with love ones. It turned wet and cool here this week but the forecast promises clearing, sunny, enjoyable weather for Thanksgiving. Weather fit for camp fires, hot chocolate, and hanging fresh venison.
May the wind be to you back and the sunshine on your face. Travel safe and enjoy life. David

David and Sandy, sounds like a wonderful time. I have never been to Texas (except lay over in the airport) but plan to get down there in my future 5.0 Escape.

There is a lot of snow birds as we call them that migrate down to Texas from the north central US area for the winter. The campgrounds fill up around the coast and down in south Texas from Thanksgiving to Easter. Lots of bird watchers and folks escaping cold and snow. Spring and fall months are my favorite months to camp. Come on down you 'all.

The Texas coast is a bad location for snorkeling. The water visibility is maybe 5' on a good day. This is due to the muddy outflow of rivers and windy, shallow, sandy shores. Water temperatures today is about 58 degrees.

I'm spending part of Thanksgiving driving between Catalina and Picacho State Parks in AZ. Of course I could be in Oswego, NY (home) they are expecting 10" of snow, sleet and freezing rain over the next two days.

I do miss cooking a Plainvile turkey (a local naturally raised bird). Haven't missed making a turkey dinner since 1966. Still, the weather here is beautiful 65F at 1:00, although it gets down to the mid 30's at night.

Everyone have a great weekend!

Happy Thanksgiving everyone!

The kids and gkids are gone, time to clean up!
I did the cooking before they arrived, they put the food away when we finished, and later I will do the dishes. I prefer to do it this way, then I don't have to yell at anyone to get out of the kitchen!
Went to change into my phat jeans....better make that sweats!

Hope all had a good day. One thing I am grateful for, is this part of my rv family!
