But, isn't 4 inches of snow like nothing now, after what you've been through? Just a mild dusting, so to speak...

It is "nuisance" snow, enough to cause accidents but not enough to keep people off the roads.

We made it to 45 degrees two days ago....just enough to melt the snow a bit...then it rained..followed by sno-rain....ice skating rink now! Snowbanks until June! Ugh!

Have you seen this video. Ice skating on frozen clear lake...with fish swimming under the ice...pretty cool! I would worry..not being able to tell what might be open water! Yikes

Do you mean to say that the Phil the groundhog was wrong

I knew there was a good reason I moved to Florida years ago. Only problem is that the summers here are no fun, which is why I take trips to cooler climates during the hot months. But I haven't seen any snow on the ground or had to shovel, slip on, drive on, or get stuck in it for almost 30 years. And not one of my vehicles has been destroyed by salt.

Yup. I don't even mind the summers - sitting in the shade with a cold drink in hand is enjoyable even on the hottest days, (working in it is another matter, however). When my brother retired from his job in Illinois I asked him if he was going to move to Pensacola, he said "no," it was too cold in North Florida for him, he never wanted to even see frost for the rest of his life. He moved to Bonita Springs over fifteen years ago and says he has never regretted it. Two of his three kids and their families, have now left Illinois and followed him to South Florida to continue their careers - the third one got out of the cold by moving to Oak Harbor, Washington.

It has been unseasonably warm here. I have the trailer out of storage and have been working to prepare it for our trip to Osoyoos. I give thanks every night that I'm not on the east coast. It was 60 degrees here today. Dang!

We only got a couple inches yesterday, very depressing stuff this time of year. Down to 12" or less after the recent rains and temps up to 50. Bad part is I was hoping to get out with the trailer for some early trout fishing, rivers will be high for a long time with all this snow.
