History of Escape trailers
We currently own a restored vintage Aristocrat trailer, and while parked in the visitor's center at Great Basin National Park, we saw an Escape pull in. It was tiny, I guess 13 feet or so, maybe less, and looked rather old. But we had been thinking about getting a more modern trailer, and our search eventually led us to order an Escape 19.
But I am curious about the history of the company, given that I saw this old, small version, which I am sure is no linger made. Can anyone shed light on the company's histury?

The first Escape model was the 17-foot. The 13-foot came later, and indeed has gone out of production. Those are overall lengths (including tongue), so the 13-foot has about a 10-foot-long body... if you saw a body a bit under 13 feet, that would be the 15-foot model, which is still in production as the smallest offering.

The 15-foot didn't go into production until 2012, did it? My brain is not cooperating here...

Good point, a 2012 wouldn't look like an "old" trailer...
I was thinking earlier. I believe that the 15-foot was triggered by the venture to build for TrilliumRV (who wanted "1500" and "4500" models), which was announced in September 2008, for production starting early 2009. Although the arrangement with TrilliumRV ended in July 2009, Escape went ahead with their own 15-foot model based on the 17-foot; Reace had posted in another forum in September 2009 that the 15-foot mould was almost ready. I don't know when the first one came out of the factory, but I've seen references to 2010 model year 15-foot Escapes, so they go back at least that far.

Straight from ETI's website:
"Escape Trailer Industries, located in Chilliwack, BC, started manufacturing the 17’ Escape Trailer in 2003. The 17’ was followed by the Escape 5.0 in 2007, the Escape 13’ and 19’ in 2009, the 15’ Escape in 2010, the 21’ Escape in 2013, and the newly revised Escape 5.0TA in 2014."

1,000th? If that's the case they should name the trailer Grover or maybe Cleveland or GC for short....

Shouldn't they name the trailer "Pinkie" after the Canadian $1000 note? I know they aren't in general circulation any more, but it is a Canadian trailer and the pinkie is still legal tender...lol
