History Of Fiberglass "Eggs"

If you are interested in the history of fiberglass "egg" trailers (pre-Escape) there is an interesting thread over on the Fiberglass RV site: Egg History- Boler descendants - Fiberglass RV

One very strange detail to me was that the first Casitas were apparently made at the Scamp factory, and what exactly transpired seems to be shrouded in mystery - or at least competing versions! The Casita Club Archives -> Casitas made in Bacus MN

Ok yes I have to much time on my hands today......

From my understanding, and it's known to be flawed, Scamp didn't ever build a Casita... but it was a member of the "family" that broke off and started that build. Those first Casitas were built in the same town, just not in the same factory...

Interesting - thanks Donna - sounds like a Shakespeare tragedy/comedy with a family split etc...
