One very strange detail to me was that the first Casitas were apparently made at the Scamp factory, and what exactly transpired seems to be shrouded in mystery - or at least competing versions! The Casita Club Archives -> Casitas made in Bacus MN

From my understanding, and it's known to be flawed, Scamp didn't ever build a Casita... but it was a member of the "family" that broke off and started that build. Those first Casitas were built in the same town, just not in the same factory...
