two years ago when we were camping with our new 19' we spent several nights at 19 degrees with no problems. we do have the heat pad for the fresh and grey water tanks and the extra insulation. Make certain your propane tanks are full, and keep the heat on. you may want to open the doors under the bed to ensure that heat gets into this area.

Vents to storage compartments

I installed vents into the storage compartments under the dinette benches and the bed. See my thread in the Modifications section of the forum.

I spent a few months last winter in my winterized 19' in the Victoria area and here's my cold-weather advice: buy a heated water hose, remove the door of the under-bench storage space so air circulates there, move cushions away from wall to prevent moisture from staying there long enough for mold to grow, keep ceiling fan on low so air circulates in trailer, for totally silent steady heat consider a small circulating oil heater, put rugs on floor, heat the floor of the shower with a quick spray of hot water before entering, have a bed that's a bit smaller than the space so air circulates around it (and you get a bit of storage space on one side!), turn off the water heater until you need it (saves gas), pull a big heavy-duty garbage bag over the post so water coming from ground doesn't freeze, and put an extra wool blanket on the bed! : )

These are all good tips. We used to have an activity in Scouts in the cold weather camping
season. You could give the rookies all the information, print it out even, and they were still miserably cold that first year. By year two they were comfortable and trying to teach younger scouts the techniques. Experience the always seems to be the best teacher. You had a lot of fine points in your post. People desiring to cold weather camp should take heed.
