Thanks Mike G and Wacky,

Boondocking is the backup plan and I've been doing it for years in the Moab area, but I wanted for once to be in the park to avoid the LONG backup at the entrance and to be positioned better for sunrise and sunset. We are going in late September to avoid the heat, but it will be my wife's first time there and I wanted it to be a great experience for her.
