Funny thing about being retired is now for some reason I wake up at 5:30-6 AM and happily jump up to make the morning coffee, get the paper in the driveway. It used to be different.

Padlin, not sure what you mean by:
1.Opening loft windows instead of the double pane.
2. Replace the holding tank sensors.
Please explain. Thanks.

I have a 5.0TA, the bed area I refer to as the loft. You can get the 2 side windows in the loft as either fixed double pane or opening single pane. I went with the double pane. Now the only way I can get any air is to open the overhead vent, which has no provision to keep out rain. When I was planning, I figured I'd get less condensation with the double panes, and probably do, but the lack of airflow is a bigger issue to me now that I've experienced sleeping in the raised bed (loft).

The stock holding tank sensors give false readings as often as they are correct, same as my old trailer. While you do get used to it, there are better sensors out there. I wanted to go with Horst Miracle Probes, but spaced it off till the trailer was well into production. There are other options as well.

Different, indeed. Perhaps I retired too early, but every Monday morning I wake up with a smile on my face. Like this morning. :-)

But today is a national holiday, so you would be smiling even while employed. Just not as broad.....

When people accuse me of retiring too early I reply "Better than too late".

I guess I'm lucky or blessed or whatever when it comes to that - I really love my job. Of course, I still look forward to retirement.

Perfect. Just as I thought. My 5.0 is not yet in production. I chose double pane side windows but will now reconsider. U have confirmed my suspicion.

I will opt for the Horst Miracle Probe. Much appreciated. I owe u a beer!

Last I heard you'll have to provide the probes.

MacMan, Tweety's RV in Bulverde has the Horst Probes, which is where we got them. Pricey though.

Rbryan ,
I 100% agree with you on your above quote I am to blessed with the job I have and I do enjoy going to work for the most part. I have 4 1/2 years to go befor retirement God willing. But I do think Charlie , Jim and Myron are being insensitive about having all the time in the world to work on there trailer projects. I think I am turning green with jealousy

Don't forget that they probably started working a lot earlier though.

(Says she who absolutely loved her job but has been retired for over fifteen years.)
