Ikea wood frame for under mattress

Year ago we bought a 21' Escape and read the posts then about getting circulation around and under the bed. It was connected together by rope things with wooden slates and you rolled it out on top of the wood under the mattres. Obviously Ikea can't find it with the description I just put in - does anybody remember what it was called.

Looks like in Canada IKEA has three different slat systems.
They are Luroy, Lonset and Leirsund in order of cost, lowest to highest.

I searched the IKEA site under beds and the slats come up as parts you will need to complete the bed

This is the one that I installed in my 19. It's self supporting. I'm not sure if the one connected with ropes would work.

Ikea Bed Slats

I installed the same one as Ron in BC, did.

It is an Ikea product. I think it is called Lonset.

I reduce the under side wooden rib height (about 5/8"). Did that on the table saw.

It works well, in that it adds a bit of flex to the mattress, and it allows air circulation under the same.
It has different ribs for the hips and shoulders. More give, if I remember.

A negative point is that the centre doesn't have the ribs (queen size mattress). The centre of the bed doesn't have the flex and give.

I installed mine in a 5.0

I think that you're correct with the model.

Not too concerned about the center not having any bounce. Very rarely to never get to sleep in the center.

Yes, I cut the frame height down also. Still provides good under mattress air circulation.

Hi Marilyn:

If useful, I recently posted pictures of the IKEA Lönset system installed in our second generation E21C to a discussion topic titled “Moldy Mattress.”

Thanks!

Here is Ours...

If you are patient and live near an Ikea you can find these in their As-Is section from time to time. I picked ours up for less than $10 US.
