Positively dismal:

Two fall storms will bring heavy rain and strong winds to BC this week.

A slow moving frontal system over the central coast will finally move southward tonight. Rain will become heavy at times over the south coast and southeast winds will increase as the front approaches. The front will cross the Lower Mainland Tuesday morning. In its wake, winds will shift to the southwest with gusts as high as 80 km/h and rain will taper to scattered showers.

Rainfall and wind warnings have been issued for some regions and may be expanded tonight.

Snow levels over the BC Interior will lower to near 1000 metres on Tuesday afternoon changing precipitations into flurries at summit level for some highway passes.

The second storm system will arrive on the South Coast early Wednesday, bringing another round of wind and heavy rain

The snow level was pretty much there on Saturday near Hope. And the rain! Oh man, glad my roof drains are clear. What a torrent.

Ron, your dashboard seems to be missing some basics like throttle and fuel gauge. Not all that different from your trailer but at least that stays on the ground

Wow some people from Alberta had their roof blown off and they said a train was blown off a bridge and someone I know in Hope said their fifth wheel was blown off the supports.

Don't worry Jim and Lisa too much. They still have to tan their feet first!
But yes, it was bad!! Just saw a video about a big grain bin blowing across the road, lots of semi's in the ditch, power outages, and so on.

After 5 hours on a boat we chartered, with lots of swimming and cervezas, my back is burned, not tanned, and my feet still look white.

I just heard about the terrible winds last night when listening to the UCP leadership debate in Lethbridge, and only wee bits. Did not sound good.

I hope you find all is well when you get home and that all our other Alberta members had no serious damage. We came home once to the effects of a "bow echo" straight line storm front. A swatch about a hundred feet wide had every nearly large tree in our woods blown over.

The PNW is getting ready to be hit with an Atmospheric River.

"NOAA says it’s like a river in the sky.
They say these columns of vapor carry an amount of water roughly equivalent to the average flow of water at the mouth of the Mississippi River."


Now we worry about landslides due to the fires in the gorge these past several months.

I’m on a WSF that just pulled away from the dock heading to Orcas Island. The ferry is listing about 7 degrees Starboard due the the pressure of the wind on the port side. Should be interesting! My 19’ is tucked in safely amidships with the rest of the big rigs.
