Installing Graphics

Has anyone installed their graphics personalized from Escape? We are about to install ours, wondering if there are any tips to doing this?

If you mean a name or some such, yes, I put on a name a year or so after getting the trailer.

I put on a straight line using masking tape. Besides keeping the decal straight you can mark the center and from it the start point for placing the decal.

Do make sure the area is very clean, any dirt will show up when you squeegee. Use lots of soapy water if that's what you'll be using. Don't do it in high heat or the sun. It's been a while but I seem to recall you have to pay attention when peeling, some of the leading edges of character didn't want to separate easily.

Peel in as flat a plane as you can. Not outward away from the trailer but parallel.

From someone who ran a vinyl sign shop for 6 years....clean surface with no wax is probably the MOST important. Warm day but no direct sun. if you are feeling confident and the graphic is thin lines(like the stock) or small you can do it dry. Like others said watch the leading edges and try to pull the tape off at an angle other than a right angle to these edges. If you want to do it wet...windshield washer fluid works well and is cheap. A heat gun used carefully can help straighten out mistakes and also help bend the vinyl around obstructions. Apply wet and work slow and steady....you can do it!
