inverter option question

For those of you who have the 1500W inverter with the solar package, did you go with the one plug option or the switch that runs it through all the plugs? I can see limited use of the 110v option when running off of solar/batteries but I am not sure about the need to have it go to all plugs. I'm sure there is a lot of first hand experience out there on this issue, please share.

I've used only one plug so far, for my coffee grinder, but I opted to include all outlets for the "just in case" scenario.

We have the option that powers all plugs and enjoy the freedom that provides. When we stop mid-day or when we boon-dock, I like to be able to watch a little TV, run the toaster, run the microwave, the clock radio, various cell phone and IPad chargers and anything else.

Other will say they get by perfectly fine with all 12-volts plugs, and they may advise getting extra of those. Others will say one AC plug-in is enough. I'm not sure if that would include the microwave, but some don't even like or use their microwave.

It's all about what you're used to, or expect to be using.

Having just discussed this with ETI, the one thing that stands out is that if you want to use your microwave, you must go with the all plug option. I had hoped to have only that circuit wired but for some reason that doesn't work.

We went with the all plug option, we also purchased the extra 12 volt outlets. Remember the inverter has to be manually turned on to power the 110 appliances, will experiment with our 600 watt to see how long the solar can keep up with the drain.

Sally P. .... that is good info, looks like we will go with the "all plug" option for the inverter.

We went with the transfer switch to all outlets. It was very nice to boondock with AC appliances like our Samsung 22" TV, the Instant Pot Pressure Cooker, and the Coffemaker all plugged in to separate outlets.
