It is getting hot...

Right now it is 88 outside and expected to hit 90 before storms come thru later today. I turned on the refer yesterday and filled it today with food, it is keeping
40/8 F on 4 bars on electric currently. Less than 72 hours before liftoff.....

Hey, hurry up and put some miles on the Hemi!

Bring the warm weather too with you, although we seem to be warming up ahead of your arrival anyway.

It was 37 F as I drove into Las Vegas, NM this morning, after a couple of hours of driving rain and 30 knot winds. I'm done-- I'm going to give New Mexico a break and go to Osoyoos. I'll see you there.

So you decided to head north, maybe we will see you on the road, we should be in California next Saturday night.

I'm going to head north at first. Santa Fe for some shopping and vehicle maintenance, then Great Sand Dunes National Park in Colorado, then a long stretch to the Spokane, WA area. I want to photograph the Palouse region for a couple of days, then I'll head into Canada for the rally. So I probably won't see anyone until I'm in Osoyoos. My plans may change, though; you never know.

We stayed at Storrie Lake State Park there which has few sites but with cabanas. It was sunny! So you just keep taking rain all around with you. They would be very glad to see you there because they had had such a lack of rain that the lake had basically disappeared when we were there.

Mike there's campsites right at Great Sands but you might have a problem fitting your 21 in one. There is a commercial RV campsite a few short miles before the park entrance. Just sayin' a heads up.

Mike,
If you do not have the Andersen hitch yet, their factory is in Idaho Falls, Idaho. I stopped there last year for the correct brackets for my BlackJack.

Myron-
Thanks for the heads-up. On the Great Sand Dunes website there is a photo of a trailer that has to be at least as long as mine, so I'll give it a try.

Jim-
I have a Curt WDH that works quite well. Thanks anyway.

Right now I see yet another big black cloud approaching from the other side of Torrie Lake. This is unbelievable...

I was hoping to have dinner here on Thursday- http://bigtexan.com
they run shuttles to local campgrounds to pick you up. Scroll down and check out the lady who ate 3 of their 72 oz dinners with sides in 20 minutes....unbelievable.
If you download their menu you will see the Texas version of Poutine-
steak fries covered with 3 types of cheese, smoked brisket with sauce and onions.

Roger that... hope it wasn't parked at their very fine visitors center. I recall the campsite access roads were also quite narrow.

I was there years ago, but not camping. I just read their fine print that said there are a few spots that will take an RV up to 35 feet long. I'll try for one of those.

I remember being impressed with Great Sand Dune NP's attempts to accommodate the handicapped.

Someone turned the Colorado weather on it's end. March was warm and dry - May has reverted back to a wet and stormy winter.

I believe this is the place that will give you that 72 oz. steak if you can eat it within a certain amount of time (which I forgot). You go right ahead.

Great, since there wasn't a meet at Moab this year it'll be good to say hello again. Maybe we can kick around a couple of ideas to help you sort out how best to install a range with an oven.
