Jack Antenna TV ready

We know we are getting the jack Antenna TV ready option. Does this option come with outside coaxial connection for cable TV? Also wondering if in the future we decide to get a portable satellite dish will the necessary components be in place to do so or do I need an additional connection? Thanks, Kevin

Hi Kevin
Yes the jack has an outside cable connection but you will have to have Reace install an extra one for the satellite receiver and also run an hdmi cable to the tv location. Reace made us a prefect shelf for the receiver under the upper cabinet just inside the door next to the steps going up to the bed in our 5.0TA

Cheers
Doug

The Jack does come with a connection for cable. If you plan on satellite, you will need a second inlet which bypasses the Jack antenna's amplifier. Be sure to specify that so it is on your build sheet.

I asked that question just the other dqy and was told it does have an external coax connection. Not sure if that same cable could be used for satellite instead. Would be curious if anyone has tried this.

Hey thanks for the info. So do I need 2 outside jacks? What and where is the HDMI cable going? Kevin

2 outside jacks are required, the second one goes to the satellite receiver. The hdmi cable goes from the receiver to the tv.

The Jack antenna has an outside connection also, this is to connect to a cable hook up.

Do you know if ETI will install a 2nd cable and jack for satellite?

Yes, ETI will install a second jack. Had them do it on my 5TA. Just make sure the satellite one is just a direct run. Can't go through the amplifier or a splitter.

Great, thanks. We're not planning on having satellite initially, but would be good to have it satellite ready if we decide to do it later.

Hmm. I emailed ETI and was told to order TV Ready (in addition to the Jack antenna that I've already got on my build sheet) to get the extra coax for satellite. I asked if the 2nd 120V outlet can be moved to another location since I don't really need two in the same spot and was told "no", the 120V outlet can't be moved. Did others who had a 2nd coax added have two 120 outlets installed next to the TV hookups?
