Just wanted to pass along our condolences on losing your fur-kid. We lost our very good boy Nemo this past January at the age of 16. He was such an amazing boy, and we miss him very, very much. We lost his little sister Maddie three years ago. Got her through one cancer with the same course of radiation treatments humans get, along with regular followup re-checks for four years. Then out of the blue we went from a routine vet visit because she wasn’t feeling well to rushing her into surgery for a totally different cancer. Had to make the gut wrenching decision to let her go when the surgeon told us the cancer had spread throughout. Still eats us up thinking about that awful day. Just have to try and remember all those years of the best memories you could ever have. God bless your Jasper.

Oh Jim... and Lisa, I'm so sorry to hear you've lost Jasper. He was a very, very good boy. I met him twice, at Fall NOG 2016... days of rain and wind. What I remember most about Jasper is he never, ever smelled like a wet dog! He was well loved and cared for.

Jim you may think Jasper was your dog, but he was really Lisa's. At the Boler 50th, when everyone was outside his eyes never left Lisa. IF she got up to go into the trailer, he'd stand... like what about me? You... not so much . Please give Lisa a hug from me.

I hope the memories you both have in your heart gives you peace.

This morning when I was interacting with our Labradoodle I started thinking how much we will miss her when she is gone. Not that at 10 has any health problems, quite the opposite, as she thinks she is still a pup. I'll be 81 in a couple of weeks, so could be that it will be my turn first. So many of us do understand losing a family member is not something you get over for a long time if ever.

So very sorry to hear this. Dogs are so great when well behaved, and loved by all who they touch.

Great photos keep the memories alive

A fine looking companion. May time soothe the hurt.

What breed was he? I wouldn't mind having that sort of dog someday.

Pete and I were saddened to hear of Jasper’s passing. Meeting you, Lisa, and Jasper was the highlight of us being at the Boler Rally in Winnipeg. Jasper had a wonderful personality that brightened the day of everyone he met .

Hi Jim and Lisa,
I'm so sorry to read of your loss. I too lost my best buddy Juniper .... seems like yesterday. When you are ready, don't be afraid of finding a new sibling for Jasper, I'm sure he would be pleased with your new found happiness a new pup can bring. Just think how lucky that dog would be to live with you two and share your adventures!

I'm sorry,

Tom

Oh my .... I just did the math and Juniper passed 37 years ago and I still miss her deeply. It wasn't yesterday after all.

Thanks everyone for all the kind words. Jasper passing is slowly turning from sadness to the wonderful memories he provided for us. Very much a family member and a pleasant friend to anyone who met him.

Thrice, Osoyoos, the Fall NOG and Winnipeg.

While a huge part of both our lives, he did tend to be somewhat of a guardian for Lisa. A cute lifelong trait of his was to always lay on the floor outside the washroom whenever Lisa was in there.

Well, good to know of people in Colorado when we go through. You guys were one of the very first people to meet Jasper at just under a year old, the same day we picked up our 19 in the spring of 2009.
