Keep the faith
This week I would rather be hooked up and towing into the mountains, taking snow pictures, or maybe gone south into the warm desert, but instead I have been, like most everyone else, sheltering in place, glued to the TV screen, watching volatile current events in DC unfolding.
I am reminded of back in 1968. I was stationed 30 miles south of DC off 301 at an army signal installation. There were machine gun nests set up around the White House. We were called upon to send people up to the Capitol to provide communications support for the generals driving around the city during the riots consuming it that terrible year.
The good news is, this too will pass.

Hey Alf, that made me laugh. Good to have some humor in the midst of all the violent disunity. I don’t have a problem with disagreeing, but I sure wish folks could do it politely.

I was taught in a training class at work (so it's not just rumor) that in the approx. 1968-70 time period there was an Army division stationed in the D.C. area whose job it was to protect the capital from American rioters, not foreign threats. And in 1970 there were hundreds of bombings throughout the country, averaging more than one per day. So as bad as things have gotten lately, we're not there yet. We'll make it through this.

Alf, trailer scheduled for Feb 22, but more likely Fall 21. E19, not a 5ver. I like to carry too many toys. Backpacks, Kayak, sail rig, and bikes are the minimum toys required.
