Laundry hamper
I have an Escape 19
Question what do people do with their Laundry (hamper)
We usually go out for 2 weeks at a time.
A couple of ideas
1) a bin that sides under the bed, gets full quick?
2) under one of the front seats at the kitchen table, do-able but small
3) current idea, a soft laundry bag in the bathroom at night, then on the bed during the day.
Thanks
P.S. Stave Lake for Christmas

Hey Geo!
Somebody posted a mod on either this forum or fiberglassrv.com that has one of the storage box lids under the front dinette double hinged across a corner, maybe 10 inches or so to create a separate opening lid that lets them drop laundry into the box without lifting the entire seat cushion.
Sorry I can't be more specific, but the search on this site is pretty poor. Even the word "Laundry" comes up empty, but it appears probably six times in this thread alone!
LAUNDRY LAUNDRY LAUNDRY!
Now it can find this thread, at least!

Re: Laundry hamper
We had Reace add the optional cabinet door to the passenger side dinette. The door swings toward the inside so it is easy to get at while standing outside and nearly as easy from the inside. Among the things stored in this area are smaller nylon stuff bags, probably the size of a pillow case. Into these we stuff dirty clothes, when a bag gets filled I will transfer it through the hatch into the area under the queen bed. We carry three such bags but I am not sure we have needed but two.
Smaller bags work better as they store in these spaces better, compress better and fit through that hatch with some wiggling. There are three of us living in this space so we produce a good amount of lanundry.

Re: Laundry hamper
Hi: All...I'm not sure I want to air our "Dirty Laundry" on the forum!!! With the 5.0 there are nice little corners on either side of the mattress at the foot of the bed. They are created by the wall/roof support and offer a nice space to stuff "Unmentionables". The quilt/comforter offers cover from prying eyes. Alf

Re: Laundry hamper
I keep my dirty laundry in a bag in the tug. I'd rather not sleep with the dirty socks.

Re: Laundry hamper
Thanks for all the reply's
I am going to try a combination approach
under the front seat, when the drawstring cloth bag,
gets full, move it, till later.
Now if there was a small washing machine, ;-)
and yes I have use a wash board.
Thanks George

Re: Laundry hamper
Ikea has plastic boxes called "Samla". One size is 31" by 22". We get three under the rear dinette in our 17B. One for boots, one for laundry, and one in reserve. I have screwed in a couple of eyes and use a bungee to keep the bins from sliding out when travelling.
