Let's hope we have better luck! Thanks for the heads up Laura. Hoping to be through Seattle by 11am. So far traffic has been light!

Stayed in Whistler a few days and loved the scenery, hiking, and window shopping. We are now in Seattle vacationing with friends for a week and then off again to Chilliwack.

Sorry our paths won't cross this trip.

Hi P&L!
Sounds like you've been having exciting times!
We have orientiation tomorrow at 8 am!! This has been such an exciting adventure! (I've never driven cross country before although Charlie has many times in his youth!) and the adventure has not even begun... We won't get home til early(ish) November. At least that's the plan!
We will meet up with Loren and Cathy Wednesday to camp together! Looking forward to it!
So far we still haven't seen any Escapes... But we're sure we will today!! Saw 385 campers yesterday no FB....!

Smart to get through the area early! Hope the rest of your trip is just as smooth. Not far north of Everett the scenery just gets better and better all the way to Chilliwack. Enjoy!

A Moment of Silence...

I would kindly request a moment of silence for Charlie and Lucy as they are about to take possession of their 5.0TA...

Why a moment of silence, you ask? For those of us who have one on order but have to wait entirely too long to get them. We also need a moment where we can be completely filled with envy and jealousy. Of course, in the best way possible.

Congratulations Charlie and Lucy!!

We actually picked up Casa Blanca today! What a rush and how overwhelming it all is! Everyone at ETI is so gracious and friendly, and Tammy and Reace went out of their way to fix a few things for us. Reace and Nigel installed our Springfield pedestal we brought with us as well as 2 TV mounts and Umbra hooks. Rae did our orientation and she was very thorough and patient with all our questions. Barbara processed our final build sheet expenditures and paperwork. And Manfred brought our 5.0 TA over the border and was great showing us how to hook up and giving Charlie pointers! And we noticed on the boards: 17s and 19s are already sold out for 2016 and 21s and 5.0 TAs are out to Dec!! What an amazing job they do!
And here we are in our new little home, finally relaxing at a small campground in Lynden WA. Long day...2 Happy Campers! Will try to post some pics tomorrow!
Thursday we camp with Loren and Cathy!! Safe travels to them coming from Kansas!

Congrats! Thanks for checking in - would love to know the campground you are in, if you want to send a PM. We're a couple weeks behind you, and I'm trying to figure out where to stay our first night...

Mary,
We will be picking up our new 17A soon, and originally thought we'd use the KOA in Lynden:
Lynden / Bellingham KOA | Camping in Washington | KOA Campgrounds

But, instead, since we will visit Whidbey Island, and then take the ferry to the Olympic Peninsula, we booked our first two nights at Bay View State Park: Bay View State Park | Washington State Parks and Recreation Commission

Here is another site we use for campsite research:

Hi, Don. Another friend has also recommended Ft Casey SP, wch is near the Whidbey/Ft. Townsend ferry landing. That won't be our first night, but it maybe our 2d and 3d.

Coming down to the wire...

Ellen... We did not see your egg shell as we couldn't take a tour. Too early in the day.... But surely your baby is on its way to being hatched!!

First 2 nites we camped at Hidden Village in Lynden. Nothing special. But a place to regroup and set up the trailer. It worked. Then we traveled south a bit and went to Bay View SP which was very nice. If I can find a way to post pics later I will.
We met up with Loren and Cathy there and shared dinner and much talking with them. It was great.... 2 brand new Escapes parked side by side and we met great folks from the forum!
There was a small Escape right in the front on the bay with an awesome view when we got there. But didn't get a chance to go over and say hi. They were gone when we left.
We are on the road to FT Stevens in OR for 3 nites. Really looking forward to that!

Happy travels, Charlie & Lucy!!! You guys are off to a great start!!!
Yeah, my little guy should've started hatching this past week -- thinking I may receive photos this coming week.

Yup, that's the best site in Bay View SP. It's the one I always try to get.
