LED bulbs standard?

Just picked up the 17A, and am stoked! Quick question- are the standard Escape bulbs in the interior / exterior LED these days?

Thanks,

Dave

Yes, LED lighting is standard, and they are the warm lights, not the cold bluish lights, which I really like!

Hi Jim!

Your comment is interesting. I just looked at the one over the kitchen counter.

I wanted a different colour temp LED. Went to ETI and they replaced the whole fixture with a newer, better designed one. Did it in little time, at little expense.

Probably be simplest if ever needed to replace the fixture with a new led fixture with a push type bulb that can be easily changed. Not that expensive to buy the fixtures with bulbs.

I know! I wonder if replacing the whole fixture is the only way, as Glenn mentioned.

I did place a strip of foil to block some of the light from going right in my face when I try to look inside the upper cabinet. I hate being short!

First off, Glenn had an original non LED light setup in his 2009 unit. He may have installed LED bulbs. Escape LED history starts sometime in 2012 with LED clearance lights with LED bulbs. they then switched to Led interior lights with replaceable bulbs in 2014 and clearance lights with sealed LED units. then in 2016 they switched to the LED sealed interior and exterior units.
Behind that little door is where the wires are connected, via permanent BUTT connections. One would have to find a light with similar holes with sockets to switch over to replaceable LEDS. Might as well get a new trailer by then....
It was nice having the bulb type lights, I requested them on my 2014 clearance and Reace complied, that way a blown bulb could easily be fixed, on the road. Now, the whole light, interior or exterior will need replaced, not easy when the exterior are riveted attached.

The Captain's lights (reading lights), at least in my August 2017 21, are cool white. I prefer them for reading...

Yes. I forgot about those, and you are correct. We switched those for the warm LED lights as well.
