List to do
We are both very happy with our new to us 17b but there is a list to complete before we do our first trip. A few lights have been fixed, load leveller system installed, brakes adjusted and tire pressure checked. License plate mount repaired. Linda is busy finding places for things inside. I have no clue where to put my fly rod. For now it’s in the bath room. I have lots of firewood so two wheel barrow loads are ready to put in the back of the Canyon. That’s enough for now, it’s time for ice cream, it’s on the list.

Just in case you are venturing south, you might check out the firewood transport regulations. Here in Calif you can't transport wood very far from the source. Other states may have similar regulations.

If you have a canopy with a liner over the bed of your truck, simply buy a couple of strips of Velcro and hang the fly rod above the side window. The rat fur lining holds the Velcro really well and your rod will be ready for action whenever you need it.

Thanks for the reminder. I’m in BC. It’s my firewood, no rules about transport here. If we have a campfire ban then that must be followed. This year we are OK to go. I always take extra with me to give to other campers, why not, I get free fire wood when ever I want it.

I don't have a topper on my truck because I built a self loader boat rack for my 12 ft boat to sit above the truck. The bed does have a roller cover. I may look at something like a rear window rifle rack or similar for my fishing rods.

Is there room to mount another sewer hose tube for your fly rod?
