Lithium-Sulfur Batteries?

Ten years from now lithium iron phosphate batteries will be old school, kind of like compact fluorescent bulbs (CFLs). Perhaps one of the options will be lithium-sulfur batteries?

I was digesting the article until I got to the part about "monoclinic gamma-phase sulfur."
