Main Doors opens on its own

We have a new 21C. The main door to the cabin has twice now randomly came wide open on it's own after being locked. Has anyone had this issue?

Sounds like the striker plate needs to be adjusted

Are you sure you are locking the deadbolt and not just the pull handle?

With the door open use the key in the bottom lock and practice turning it so the dead bolt comes out and then turning it back to remove the key.

Another way you can be sure the deadbolt is locked is lock the bottom, and then try to open it by pulling the handle.

The top lock / latch isn't designed to hold the door closed while towing, You need to engage the deadbolt.

Was this while in motion on the road, or while stationary?

I had the same problem when I first got our trailer. TTMartin nailed it. I thought I was engaging the dead bolt, but in fact I was not. I think I am a slow learner as it took me awhile to figure out when the dead bolt was engaged or not..TTMartin makes a good point of practising engaging the dead bolt. Kindergarten 101
