You may want to reverse those lights so that they do not blind you.........

If there is a large flange area I would apply butyl tape. Then to finish it off I would use bright white Proflex around the perimeter.

Well I don’t think I will tackle that right now since all the lights are turned that way.
The little misses isn’t complaining yet.

If you use silicon and have to repeat the process, silicon will not stick to itself and you will have to clean ALL residue off the fiberglass. Use Proflex, which is what ETI uses. It can be found in white or clear, as well as black. Proflex will adhere to itself.

Received a gallon of Meguiars Cleaner Wax One Step today.
Reading the instructions it says keep off vinyl.
When using on my trailer should I keep it off the decals?

I use the Meguiars Flagship cleaner wax. It has the same recommendation to keep off vinyl. It has not had any effect on my decals. As tempting as it is to just use a one step cleaner wax...my experience is that the shine lasts much longer if you follow up with a wax. In my case I use Meguiars Flagship marine wax. I use the cleaner wax to remove light oxidation and to shine up any dull spots. Plus it works really well at removing the vertical black streak stains you will get under the windows.

Thanks
My trailer has a good shine still. I am just being pro active in getting ahead of the maintenance. Too hot in the NW to wax right now. But September is coming.

Well the fellow I bought my trailer from in May called said he had found a Zamp Solar panel for the trailer which was misplaced in his recent move. And it was mine if I would come pick it up. Which I did. We talked a little about how he had it hooked up. But I am confused a little.
I have two six volt batteries hooked in sequence.
Which positive terminal do Ihook too? And which negative?
Here is a photo of my set up.

The solar controller positive wire goes to the # 2 battery positive terminal, the same as the red wire/cable labeled "BATTERY #2 POSITIVE".
The solar controller negative wire goes to the # 1 battery negative terminal, the same as the black wire/cable labeled "BATTERY #1 NEGATIVE".
The red wire/cable connecting the two batteries labeled "BATTERY #1 POSITIVE" and "BATTERY #2 NEGATIVE" is used to put the two six volt batteries in "series" to effectively make them into a single 12 volt battery.
I hope this helps. If this is not clear, ask more questions before making the solar panel connections.

Well said. So in other words you want to connect on the top two terminals in the photo. The ones with wires going to/from the trailer. Nothing ever goes on the terminals with the small bridge wire between batteries in this application.

What size of wire is normally used to connect the 2 batteries in series?

While things can change (don't they always?) Escape has used #6 if you do not have an inverter and #2 if you do. My 2011 17 used #10 so the #6 is an improvement. Again this is for the wire between batteries in a pair of 6V in series.

I will likely use 2 gauge welding wire since that is what I have handy in my shop.
