Best Western Rainbow Country Inn - great place. Ask for the ETI discount.

Just a few miles - maybe 4? Easy drive.

Nope, it's just up the street, maybe 350 yards. I've even walked it.

My sister reports that they have a fair selection of craft beers. 500ml singles. She picked up one from Penticton for me.

Not bragging or anything, but I've been to that liquor store At least a half-dozen times. Be sure to get some Old Dutch potato chips too; much better than any Lays product!

You can literally walk there, especially if you have pets and they put you in the pet rooms which have wood floors, those are closest to Escape.

There are a number of hotels near there and you can ask any for the Escape discount as most probably have it. People have liked several there.

Yes, I understand the Hampton Inn where we stayed will also offer a discount. But my situation is kind of weird in that I haven't paid for a hotel room when on personal travel in many years. Have a pile of points. I guess the business travel does have some benefits.

Old Dutch are pretty good chips for sure. We can get them here at any grocery store. However we cannot
get Hawkins Cheezies. They are far superior to any other "corn curl" I've ever tried. I hope I can pick some of Canada's best snack food in Ontario in a week or so. I'm a junk food junkie, Lord have pity on me.

We actually stayed at the new Hampton Inn in Chiliwack.
8050 Lickman Road, Chilliwack, British Columbia, V2R 0Y3, Canada TEL: (604) 392-4667

As we have a kid, the beautiful indoor pool and waterside had considerable appeal. (open 8 am to 10 pm)

We also enjoyed the free wifi - and the free breakfast - continental with hot buffet. 6 am to 10 am.

A room with a King bed also with sofa bed was $119 - the "Escape" rate.

be sure to request a quiet room - away from the side that the train runs on. (the train runs thru Chilliwack)

We were quite happy here. Recommended!

John

Yes, the Hampton has an Escape discount but I have no idea what it used to be back then. I put points onto airlines and used to take free trips years ago. They had a lot of people taking a lot of trips and now it is all changed, so that does not happen nearly as much. And now I use a trailer instead!

Of course, other kinds of rooms may be different rates and not sure that the Escape rate is necessarily always the same. Don't know by now if that is what we paid.
