Mounting TV

Hi All!
Just curious. We are waiting to get our 19 delivered. It should be here next week! Can you all share how you are mounting your TV's? We plan on putting it in the bed area near the outlet. I guess its the standard spot. We want it to swing out so we can see it from the dinette.
Pics? Suggestions?? The TV will probably be small 22-24 inch. Thank you!

The normal location is on that wall in the bed area by the refrigerator. If you get that wall reinforced then your mounting locations are not fixed, otherwise on the corner edge is a "stud" which would keep the tv sturdy and allow it to swing around. I put the tv in my E19 in the front dinette area, on the bath wall. You can get both if you can't decide.... BTW, I always ask for a 12v power outlet vs 120v for my TV, as most are DC operation. But the cable hookup is what is needed to an external antenna which is easy to find. Also recommend getting a built in DVD in TV for movies..

You can see from these recent pics from a for sale ad how the TV is generally mounted in the 19. Ours is a bit lower. I thought that when the TV ready option is ordered that Escape provides and mounts the arm. Keep in mind that if the TV is too big relative to the length of the arm it won’t swing around the corner completely before you have interference. I think we have a 19”.

Thank-you so much! All those pics were great. Now we have a good idea for where we need to put it.

If you ask Escape, they should be able to send you an instruction sheet on where to mount.

All Escape cabinets etc. use solid framing at the edges. On both my 19 and my 21 I used this framing to install TV mounts. I use bolts which are much stronger than screws and the arm is very secure.

In both situations the TV is watchable from either the dinette or bed.

The first 3 photos are of the 19, the forth, the 21. Sorry for a couple of crappy photos but it does give you a bit of info.

Opps, just realized the 21 photo doesn't show it mounted.

Here's 2 of it mounted.

Thanks for the question, and everyone for the responses and pictures! We are planning on mounting in the dinette - on the bathroom wall, like some show. ETI would mount it for you if you were picking up at the factory, but for those of us who don't get that luxury, we have to do it ourselves.

Love your user name! Clever play on Tukwila, Washington.

My user name has the first three letters of Seattle tagged onto my name. Although I have lived in Bremerton now for 18 years, I lived in Seattle when I first started using the internet back in '95.

We decided not to mount our television. Before adding a television we streamed onto a larger laptop that we setup on the kitchen counter. When we added the 24" television we found we liked watching it better on the counter as well.

Storage of the television has not been a problem for us as we store Colleens computer setup above the Microwave cabinet (5.0 TA) and the television fits into that cabinet as well. We just have it laying it down (so far we haven't noticed any ill affects by storing it flat).

We have the TV/cable ready with 120V option, but we have been using a MIFI Hotspot from Verizon which works out well for us. I wouldn't order this option if adding again.

If anyone is interested I have the same mounting arm as several of the forum members, they seem happy with it. It was $40.95 on Amazon, I see they have discontinued this model and now offer a $49.95 model. I'd sell it for $20 plus shipping. It is unused in it's original box. https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B0...?ie=UTF8&psc=1

Thanks! I like it. a thousand years ago when I was trying to come up with my email name, I didn't want to use my actual name (single lady, unusually spelled name. felt like I was too easily identifiable). One of my coworkers thought I was an old fuddy-duddy woman, kind of a 'Wilma' so he suggested tukwilma.
