To the contrary
I cleaned out my clothes dryer vents a few years ago and found a desiccated, mummified and dead mouse among the lint.
But I must confess, I'm not a regular or even casual user of dryer sheets. To me, it sounds like voodoo. They're a mosquito repellent, mouse deterrent, etc. , & it all sounds like the Swiss Army of repellents. Like, it can do everything, but nothing well.
YMMV.

they are $12 or $16 at the local stores, where I usually get them. I put 2 under the hood of my truck about every 3 months, thats the price of a few gallons of diesel and a lot cheaper than a oil change (said truck uses 14 quarts of synthetic diesel oil, eeek)

at least birds aren't likely to chew wiring/plumbing/propane lines.

Thanks to all.
I found the Fresh Cab locally - $12.99 @ Murdoch's with no indication of a supply chain issue.
Hope it works! $3.25 for a bag of scented sawdust will be worth it if it truly keeps mice away.... but I may also scatter a few dryer sheets just for effect.

My first trailer, purchased used, had either dog or cat flea collars shoved into the weirdest nooks and crannies: behind furnace, fridge and WH grates, behind cabinets in the hard-to-reach places, and the like. Half a dozen at least. Puzzled over it for years until it occurred to me it was probably a rodent-related preemptive strike. Don't know if it worked or not but possibly very clever. Could have been meant for insects I suppose.

Once we had trouble with the refrigerator lighting in our trailer . A RV mechanic told us how to get the flame to start working again . Involved a pipe cleaner and canned air , to clean out the gas piping . That worked . Then he said insects love to get in the piping . So purchase a dog flea collar and put back in the refrigerator cavity, because the insects don’t like them . Been doing it for years now and seems to work . Don’t know about mice etc but seems to work to keep insects out of refrigerator gas piping . Pat
