Yahooooooo Dick! Exciting isn't it! The mountains in the NW are very different from the Shenandoah Valley for sure....but beautiful none the less.
Keep us up on your travels, and put some pics up when you can....not that I've never seen a 5.0, but it takes me back to when I FIRST saw Hokie, and can experience it again through your travels. Safe journey and blessings

You probably have time to stop by and fix my lawn mower....

No sleep for you.

I stood outside the gate this afternoon drooling over my fiver (so close). Joanne had to restrain me from hopping over the fence for a closer look.
I can't even fix my own mower.
If I can find a doggie day care for a few days I will probably buy a couple of 5 in one tickets and tour Vancouver while we are in the area. We have driven through twice on the way to Alaska, and it was suggested that BC was worth a week or two, so that is what we are going to do.
Picked up Loonies and Toonies this afternoon to wash clothes at the motel. Excellent fish & chips dinner here in beautiful downtown Chilliwack.

Did Alaska from the air mostly, in small planes, and near as I could tell, Alaska was like B.C. except the mountains were rounder and not as high.

Booze was cheaper, mind you.

Re: My fiver

I can feel the adenalin rush all the way across the country : - ) Hi to Rease and Tammy from us as well. I remember like yesterday opening the door to Hokie and looking in. Then Jan started putting our bags in, stuffing them under the table...and immediately breaking off the electical switch that isolates the battery : - ( So watch out for that switch! Here is what I did with it: http://escapeforum.org/index.php?topic=727.0
Have fun...love to be a fly on the wall watching.
Perhaps we can meet up in the Valley sometime later this summer. Blessings

Re: My fiver

OK. We are up up in Powell River. Camped on George's Strait. It is beautiful. I will post some pictures when I figure how to get them out of iPhoto. The fiver is great. We got here with no trouble at all. Joanne is in trailer heaven with all the storage. I should have taken her advice and packed everything in plastic bags instead of plastic boxes. Now I have 5 to store in the truck till we get home. And I forgot my tool bag .

I have something similar that lived in the Casita until I sold it. I was keeping it on the travel shelf for future use--and it is still there.

Re: My fiver

Hi: captmath... If You and Joanne,& Dr. Dan and Jan we're to make it up to Niagara Wine Escape (Sept 16-18th.) we would have a total of 5/ 5.0 Escapes there, plus a new 17'Escape from N.Y. and maybe a 19'er or two. What a rally that'd be? I'd call the newspaper to come out to the Riverside Park and see what all the fiberglass class is all about!!! Alf www.riversidepark.net Love to have ya'll join us at "THE FALLS"

Re: My fiver

On the road again.
We got to Vancouver on Tuesday. Wednesday we did the Stanley Park 10K (I got 20,000+ steps!) and found a place for the dog to live for the rest of the week. Thursday we enjoyed a rain day at the aquarium and then rode up to the top of the observation tower after the weather cleared. Yesterday was Big Bus tour day and we saw the Chinese Garden. It looked exactly like ones we saw in China last year. Today we went out to the suspension bridge and cliff walk and then the rest of the day at the Vancouver Art Museum. Picked up the dog this evening and tomorrow we are off to Glacier Park, Canada.
