Naked wine tasting and Rocky Mountain Oysters

On our recent trip to Osoyoos, we drove thru Bend, Or from California. While looking for Robert Johans new "Nest Caravan" location in Bend, we saw a billboard advertising "Naked Wine Tours" and "We aim to tease". Just found the website Naked Winery Hood River | Oregon | Washington Wineries, Winery, Wines. Anyone familiar with their wares?
On the return trip home thru Montana, we were exposed to billboards advertising
the annual Testicle Festival held there. See here Testy Fest | 33rd Annual
Both of these items made me think twice about stopping at either of these events. Anyone ever tried RM Osyters? Both of these made my visit to Amarillo, Texas steakhouse appear to be tame in comparison...http://bigtexan.com

Naked Winery in Hood River is terrific. Fun place, and no.. no one is naked. Gobs of good wine too.

I've had RM oysters. On a business trip to Wyoming, they were on the appetizer menu. Rather than making a big deal about them, you order them and "get it over with!" I've eaten oysters, clams, frog legs, etc. with no ill effects! Haven't tried the "P" word that's been debated on the forum forever!

Yes, both in the U.S. and in South America. The ones in South America are better.

There's a small town south of Portland that has a volunteer Fire Department. Once a year, they have a fundraiser, Rocky Mountain Oyster feed. Folks come from all over the state to attend. It's a HUGE fundraiser for equipment, etc. extremely successful. It's supported by a slaughter house in the area. That's where I got my first taste. Not bad! I think it's the idea more than the flavor. I feel the same about escargot.

A friend I trust absolutely swears I need to try escargots sometime. Haven't seen them on the menus I get though.

I know them as Prairie Oysters, so will remember RM Osyters.

Donna - the Hood River area is quite the wine area - in 1980 my parents started a great winery which had a gorgeous view of Mt Hood - sold it about 15 years ago and retired. Those were the days!

Every time we drive north from home, Hwy 97 N from Klamath Falls, we see the "Naked Wine Tour" sign. Always wonder what the heck but too lazy to look it up. Thanks for the info.

If you look up some of the videos for the Testy fest you will find lots of nudity and debauchery. Quite an eye opener for many of us
