Here we hunt them with pickups in open farm fields which is great for rural truck repair shops and tow truck services. The chase cry here is. “Dude: Coyote!!!!” There are not many fox left in our country. Land clearance, dominance by coyotes and mange have thinned their numbers. Here your cry would be “Tally Ho Is that a fox?” Not exactly a declarative statement with a romantic ring of Jolly old England

We still haven’t committed to a name so I did search for synonyms of escape. One word stood out - decamp. Remember the old joke about Denise and Denephew? Those of you who call your trailers “the camper” you can name it “decamper”.

Even though I'm only a mile from "downtown" (which is a quarter mile long main street), my home is the last on a dead end road surrounded by forest. Spring and summer I regularly have young foxes cavorting in the yard. Last summer there were four, wrestling like puppies, and I was shocked that one of them even climbed about ten feet up in a tree! These are grey fox. There are small pockets of Sierra Nevada Red Fox scattered throughout the mountains...they supposedly live above 5000 ft.

Our 23C is 'The QShip' because it is much more than it appears. (google it)
