How about your on-line name?

Papillon is the French word for 'butterfly' and the title of a book by a French felon and escapee. Glad to help....

I hope most yolks don't take this the wrong way but naming your whites is a bit eggcentric, cracked perhaps. I apologize, since I must come across as a little hard boiled. Its probably because the only RV's I've experienced before have been real beaters. Some owners on this forum seem to be poaching names from here and there and passing them off as original. I'm not totally Kinder surprised by this but the layers seem to think that their RV's were designed by Faberge himself. As for me, all the creative stress of placing a name on the shell is giving me high cholesterol. I hope this will not become a big separator between us. All that matters, is that we all came out the same carton, and that at the end of the day, we've managed to stay on the counter!

That type of sarcasm really boils me, Dave. You come across as quite hard, and should maybe try being a bit more soft with your choice of words.

I kinda like being Cracked and Eggcentric. After all, normal is just a setting on a dryer.

Well, I thought about that, but figured it would make a good excuse for the troopers to pull me over and demand I let them look inside the cute egg.

Whoops, that was supposed to nest under Sandra's reply above. And no puns on nesting, please. Davescape has us on an egg-roll...

Is it uncool to name your trailer the same thing as someone else? After a lot of thought we came up with a good name for ours, my wife's nickname in the service. Found out after a bit someone already user it.

We're getting our new 17B in March and have decided to name it "Shelly" (They are an "egg" after all) But now we're trying to decide where's the best place to put that name. Any suggestions?

Lots of things get names - boats, pets, whatever - and no one worries about the name being unique unless the name is registered for identification (such as show horse or show dogs). Those show names tend to be ridiculous, and a better (and not necessarily) familiar name is routinely used... which has probably been used for other animals. It doesn't matter what I think, but I say call it whatever you want, and if there is a name you like with a proud history I think that would be an excellent choice.

I note that oceangoing vessels, which use their names for quasi-official identification, routinely have non-unique names. As long as the repeated name is not used to intentionally cause confusion in identity, I have no problem with that.

It depends on your choice of an audience. I had mine placed in the front underneath the window, only to decide later that I wanted those who were following behind me to see it. Fortunately ETI was very accommodating and sent me a decal for the back which I placed under the back window on the driver's side.
