New trailer on the block

I have just learned today our 19 footer has entered the mold, and is being shaped.

Our build sheet is complete and frozen, no pun intended.

I also was told there are 8 Escapes in the Yukon with 3 more coming this summer, so I will not have to go outside for a rally, we can have our own here in the Yukon.

We are only 20,000 souls here in Whitehorse so sooner or later I will meet all of the "Escapees".

For those who do not know the northern venacular, "Going Out" or "Going Out side" means you are leaving the Yukon, or the North.
How long is of no matter.

I will have to ask my friends in Alaska if this also applies there.

Congratulations! It is very exciting when you get the news that yours is actually in the construction process.

Re: New trailer on the block

Let us know when the Yukon/Alaska rally is being held and we'll come. We live in Terrace so we're half way there already and we love coming to Whitehorse and points north. You'll love your 19 footer.

Re: New trailer on the block

On the agenda for one of these summers:

Drive the Cassiar Hwy to Whitehorse and then decide whether to turn left to Alaska or straight to Inuvik. Return via the Alaska Hwy. (Towing the Escape, of course)

cheers,

G

Speaking of idioms I am glad your trailer is the new kid on the block and not newly on the block, which was what I was afraid when I read your thread title!

Congratulations and hang in there, there's joy in the antici.........pation!

Re: New trailer on the block

No doubt delivery will happen without a problem (with a hitch though) safely in the hands of Drs. Tammy & Reace & the delivery room staff.

We've done the Yukon and Alaska trip in '09. Loved it. Whitehorse is a very nice "city".....clean and friendly.

We're planning a return in 2012....this time with our Escape 17B (last time was with a 16' Scamp). This time we'll go to NWT first and then to the Yukon again.....Whitehorse, Dawson and other points north (currently thinking we will not repeat Alaska)......all still in the planning stage.

Keep us posted regarding any local Yukon meets as it may affect our timing.

Hi: Yukon Escape... How eggciting to know you're in the mold stage!!! Another few weeks to finish the Escape. I just wish I was any place but here& now.
I'm off work trying to pass a Kidney Stone. YIKES!!! You'd think it was a 1 carrot diamond from the pain. It's a very outgoing experience. Just glad we weren't camping in the back woods when it struck. Alf

Re: New trailer on the block

Heh Alf, sooooooo sorrrrrrry! We WERE out camping when in the middle of the night, it hit my sweet Jan. When the ER Dr saw her in a contortion on the examine table, he immediately said "kidney stone". You'll get into any shape if the pain will just go away! Hope it passes soon.
Something to get your mind off....maybe will help others.....I've tried to add some pictures, so I went to "shrink pictures", 350 pixels, greyscale, better...just as I have always done, and the Forum kicks it back saying "file too large"! Has something changed that you know of, or have I just forgot how to do it?

Re: New trailer on the block

I tried 600, then 350, then 100, and they all said "file too large"....maybe Jeff has put me on Quarantine : - (
A little Dilaudid would take care of the pain...and of course, passing the stone!

Hi: HokieEscape...Dan You've been cut off!!! Me thinks. I'm taking Hydro Morpf. It takes 1-2 hrs to kick in. The only way I get diluted is in Emerg. Been there twice already...three strikes and I'm out!!! Looks like it'll be the laser for me. 7mm's. is kinda large to pass. Alf p.s. Medical class is over... now back to your reg. sched. program.

Re: New trailer on the block

Dude, kidney stones are a drag fer sure. 2010 I passed 1, had 2 extracted (thats when they reach up with something bigger and grab it) and one shattered on the lipotripsy bed. Drink more water or beer and flush that stone away. Hold tight, it may take all night!!!!
My personal best is 9.5 mil.
