Currently down in the Arizona Desert then on to Borrego in California. I trust the weather will be “fixed”by the time we head north.

After a month in Arizona and California we are working our way north again. In Canyonville Oregon’s yesterday and today. The weather is great here. 24 and sunny yesterday. Driving conditions are excellent through the passes. Off to Washington State tomorrow then on to Vancouver Canada. Oregon is a beautiful State!

I think I'm glad I'm in CA! Though I will be driving through OR and up to WA on my Easter Break in a few weeks with my older sister in tow instead of my trailer! I'd appreciate it if you could tend to the roads between now and then But leave the beautiful scenery to enjoy!

Hopefully, Mark means it was 24ºC which would be about 80ºF ... We'll be heading up for the Spring NOG in about a month and we're hoping for warm, sunny weather. (And staying in Canyonville as well.) BTW, if you're staying at Seven Feathers in Canyonville on a Friday or Saturday night, the casino there has a Seafood Buffet that is out of this world.

We just went over the Donner Pass late last week in a blinding snow storm. The rain that we encountered at Grass Valley turned to snow towards the top and it was a bit unnerving driving past all the trucks chaining up not knowing what we were going to encounter further up. All in all it turned out not to bad but there is still some winter weather out there. My truck and trailer were a mess when we reached Reno though and the first stop was the car wash!

As of 4 hours ago: Heavy snow has been falling on Interstate 80 in California over the Donner Summit where traffic has come to a standstill. So those headed north and are trying to avoid I-5 over the Siskiyoues, double check the weather situation on all roads. For the most part, it looks very good going over the Siskiyoues the next 14 days: 14 Day Long Range Forecast for Siskiyou Summit | Local | Oregon, United States Of America

The Siskiyou Pass closed Nov 26, 2019 10:06 PM. As of Nov. 27, 2019, 7:00 AM it is still closed. Northbound I-5 is closed north of Redding, CA.

"I-5 remains closed at Ashland for southbound traffic as of this morning. Here is what ODOT and CAL Trans are reporting as of 6:00 AM 11/27. Northbound and southbound traffic between Yreka and Redding is closed.
ODOT: Interstate 5 southbound into California: closed at Ashland exit 11 for the night. Due to low visibility and and blizzard conditions between Yreka and Mt. Shasta area, Caltrans is requesting ODOT close I-5 into California. Conditions will be reevaluated at or just before daybreak.
Cal Trans: NB/SB I-5 between Yreka and Redding remains CLOSED due the extremely large number of vehicles spun out along the interstate. Those vehicles must be removed in order to get traffic flowing normally and the road plowed. There is still no ETA for reopening."

Hi Donna

Seems a bit early to be having this type of weather in Oregon. Keep those reports coming. We will be starting our annual pilgrimage to California, Oregon and Arizona in the new year and always appreciate the updates. Thought I read somewhere that you were Quartzsite bound this year?

Glad to help. I figure I have easy access to all the Oregon news so it's quick for me to post. Just want folks to be safe!

Yep, planning Quartzsite 2020. Depends on a bunch of factors that won't be known until after the first of the year. Fingers crossed!

It’s that time of year when pretty well anything can happen. Day before yesterday I had to tow my SOB to dealer just south of Seattle. A sunny but cool day. Then things got dark on the 405 Seattle bypass and I hit a big traffic jam due to a hail storm with accumulation well over an inch and drivers freaking out. Hit another hail storm in Renton area as well.

Yesterday while heading back north you could see the Cascade mountains all had lots of new snow on them. Would think the Oregon mountain passes would have been hit as well.

https://roads.dot.ca.gov. -- just all the roads in all of CA - it is really handy. I kept the link in my calendar and pulled it up each day. Other's might find it handy also. It will list Northern and Central and Southern - all of them at once - if the road covers all of CA. If it the road is only in N, CA, it will only list N. CA.
