* WHAT...Snow expected. Total snow accumulations of 8 to 16 inches expected in the mountains. 2 to 4 inches in the lower elevations along Highway 97 this morning.
* WHERE...South Central Oregon Cascades, Siskiyou Mountains and Southern Oregon Cascades, Klamath Basin and Northern and Eastern Klamath County and Western Lake County. This includes the passes on Highways 140 and 230, Crater Lake, Diamond Lake and Highway 97 from Modoc Point north to Chemult.
* WHEN...Until 10 PM PST Wednesday, with the greatest accumulations expected this morning.
* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...Travel could be very difficult. The hazardous conditions could impact the morning or evening commutes.

...WINTER STORM WARNING REMAINS IN EFFECT UNTIL 10 PM PST THIS EVENING ABOVE 5000 FEET...
* WHAT...Heavy snow above 5000 feet expected. Total snow accumulations of 10 to 20 inches with winds gusting as high as 45 mph. Snow levels could lower to around 4500 feet at times this evening, with an inch or two possible.
* WHERE...The higher terrain of Western Siskiyou County, South Central Siskiyou County and North Central and Southeast Siskiyou County, including Sawyers Bar Road and Highway 3 south of Callahan.
* WHEN...Until 10 PM PST Wednesday, with the greatest accumulations expected tonight into Wednesday morning.
* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...Travel could be very difficult to impossible. The hazardous conditions could impact the morning or evening commutes.

Flood Advisory

The National Weather Service in Medford has issued a
* Flood Advisory for... Rain and Snowmelt in... Southeastern Siskiyou County in northern California...
* Until 900 AM PST.
* At 354 AM PST, a trained weather spotter reported heavy rain and snowmelt causing minor flooding in Mount Shasta City. Up to one inch of rain has already fallen in the past 6 hours. Another half inch to inch of rain is possible. Rain should diminish some later this morning.
* Some locations that will experience flooding include... Mount Shasta, Weed, Dunsmuir, Cattle Camp Campground, McCloud, Mcbride Springs Campground, Carrick, Fowlers Camp Campground And McCloud Falls, Mount Shasta Bunny Flat Trail, I 5 Black Butte Summit, Mount Shasta Summit Plateau, Pilgrim Creek Snow Park and Mount Shasta Ski Park Highway.
Turn around, don`t drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood deaths occur in vehicles.
But leave the beautiful scenery to enjoy!
We'll be heading up for the Spring NOG in about a month and we're hoping for warm, sunny weather. (And staying in Canyonville as well.) BTW, if you're staying at Seven Feathers in Canyonville on a Friday or Saturday night, the casino there has a Seafood Buffet that is out of this world.
So those headed north and are trying to avoid I-5 over the Siskiyoues, double check the weather situation on all roads. For the most part, it looks very good going over the Siskiyoues the next 14 days:
