OUCH! That Bump On My Head

Chris called them knowledge bumps, the ones on top of my head from going in and out of the Casita.

If they're knowledge bumps, why do I keep doing it? I aksed her. OUCH!

One of the reasons I was so happy to get the Escape 19 was I could get in and out the door without banging my head.

That was the good news.

I'd like to introduce you to the corner of the cabinet over the dinette by the door. This little gem has reminded me a couple of times that I'm still not too smart. OUCH!

Maybe this is an opportunity for you to purchase a new helmet that will protect your head from those unwanted bumps, but will also help you to increase your "coolness" factor? I think that Jim Bennett wears one something like this.

Do I still have to be bald with this helmet? Don't they have one with hair?

That's great! I might get one just to wear all of the time! Hair, I haven't seen hair on my head since I was 22! Do we need a new thread

I have hit my head on that a couple times. Some folks went to Toys r Us, and got a corner bumper there. I think now that Escape does a rounded end gable there, eliminating the sharp corner.

No, as I never put the bumper on, nor have a newer trailer. Maybe on the Escape site?

I've seen those corner rubber/plastic pieces in "clear" at Lowes... if that helps.

Ours is rounded but still have several "knowledge bumps" from that corner.

I have banged my head on our cabinets as well, but never hard enough to knock myself out. I wonder when Escape switched from "square" to "rounded" corners in the 19'. Our Apr 2013 model came with "rounded" corners.

Corner Bumpers

Yep those pointy corners have met my head a couple of times and almost brought me to my knees! I looked at Wal Mart, Target, etc and only found corner bumpers that I felt were too big. Then I went to Baby's R Us and found the ones in the attached photos. I like these bumpers a lot but the double sided tape is not the best and one bumper has already come off. Just need to get some better tape or glue.

And my April 10, 2012 came with the "square" corners. The change looks good and head bang would be reduced from sharp puncture to a broader but shallower crease type wound LOL.. Baldheaded here any change that reduced bloodshed is a good thing
