Our Escape 21 finally has a name...we think.

We have gone round and round about trailer names. I liked a few that DH rejected (sometimes for good reason). I liked "Pickeled Egg" and "Egg- Eshedere" (play on cheers in Hungarian) as our daughter-in-law is from there.

I think we have finally settled on "Paddy the Wanderer" after a famous Airedale from New Zeland. We have been so happily owned by them for so many years and hope to always be possessed by one. Yes Airedales own people it's not the other way around with them. Now if we can only decide on the design and vinyl color, to use just "Paddy"or add "the Wanderer" to it, to have an Airedale shape or not. Any suggestions?

Thanks guys
Mitzi

Maybe the complete phrase, since trailers and 'wandering' kind of go hand in hand? If you're happy with it, that's all that counts anyway.

Interesting tidbit for those unfamiliar with Airedales: John Wayne had one. He named it Duke. People started calling the dog 'little Duke' and John Wayne 'big Duke'. Later, just "Duke".

Robert,
Yet another famous Iowan, Marion Morrison from
Winterset, Iowa. If you're ever down there, you might check they always had a very nice campground in a city park. From my experience, you'll be the noisiest people in Winterset when you crack an egg for breakfast. The Dukes boyhood home is there and you can visit. Not far to Des Moines and environs.

Wow, I didn't know that. I did know that an Airedale, Laddie Boy was the first White House dog to receive celebrity status. I have never met an Airedale that didn't truly have a mind of its own. I'll have to look into little Duke.

Thank you.

Sawwy, I blame my mother (again).

Only if the owners let this happen, just the same as with pretty much any other breed. I know a couple Airedales, both of which are wonderful dogs, full of spit and vinegar and I like that, but are both in complete control of their owners. I was fortunate to work with the training of one of them and their owner.

Darn Jim, I am a dyslexic, really. My mother was a biology teacher and never realized I was learning disabled ( she thought I was just careless). I should know by now to check every word. Sorry and thanks for the correction.
One does need to be a strong leader to live comfortably with an Airedale but If an Airedale is not content they will leave you or wreck havoc in your life. It requires more of a partnership to live with one than with most other breeds.

I'm sure Jim meant that you should spell it correctly.
Typos are part of life (certainly part of my life), but it's good to avoid them in signage!
