Our New Trailer

We picked up our new 19 footer yesterday and pulled it to Mission, BC for a 4 night stay. Reace and Tammy were great with going over things with us. We had a minor wiring problem and Reace was able to get us into Travelmasters in Chilliwack for a quick repair. Super service from them, also. Love the trailer. Lots of storage space, great bed, easy to pull. Will post some photos next week once we get home to Terrace.

Re: Our New Trailer

Enjoy your new trailer, Ellen!! It would be great if you could post some pics.

Wow, Terrace! My husband wishes he were there! He took a fly fishing trip up there a couple of years ago and has been cursing since then the fact that he wasn't born in Canada.

Re: Our New Trailer

We leave Mission BC tomorrow morning, driving up the Cochihalla (sp?) for a 1 pm tee-time at Tobiana Golf Course (outisde Kamloops). This will be a real test for towing as the road has some very steepl grades. Will keep track of our gas mileage and post later. Spending Monday night in Prince George (probably at Southpark) so drop in anyone if you want to see the first 19 footer on BC's highways. It's been a dream to live in.

Re: Our New Trailer

We arrived home (Terrace, BC) at 6:30 pm this evening. Had a great trip home and the 19 footer pulled like a charm. Semis going by had no effect. Our tv is a 2005 Toyota Sienna and we got 6 km/l on the Coquihalla to Kamloops and between 6.3 and 6.7 the rest of the way home. Will take some pictures once I've had a chance to clean her up and learn how to post.

Re: Our New Trailer

Congrats on getting your new Escape home Ellen.
Did you use an equalizer hitch, or sway control at all?

I thought I would give that site a go, and the first mid-sized photo I tried took about 5 minutes, only to tell me it was too large. I then tried one that was only 3 MB in size, and still no go.

Hi Ellen,
I'm happy to learn that the 2005 Sienna does a good job with the 19'. That eases concerns regarding the Siskiyou Summit climb. The "Suite Escape" should glide right along. Glad you had a good trip.
