And there is always the fallback of making septic tanks. I have a great fiberglass slingshot made in the late 50s. Every kid ought to have one. My hand eye coordination was through the roof ( and a few windows) at one time. Pole vault poles, not so much.

I have a 1970 13' Boston Whaler, 20hp 4-stroke Honda engine, which I love, use it for transportation (in'around islands off of Cape Cod), and to around where I live, on the Connecticut River and local lakes.

However - if I were to get another outboard motor boat (ie, upgrade), this would definitely catch my attention. A bit bigger than what I have, very comfortable to pilot. Room for passengers, cargo, design looks pretty seaworthy and like it doesn't draw a lot. It has what I need and like, and is otherwise pretty simple, utilitarian.

Curious to know how its constructed, compared with the Whaler but -- not curious enough to sign up for more info -- that would just be daydreamin'

My 17B, on the other hand, is quite real, and waiting to head out, come spring 2020 - can hardly wait!

That boat looks like a 15 ft or so center console windshield probably will be an option It looks like it’s perfect for their truck camper line (northern Lite ) It seems a little pricey for that size boat
I still enjoy boating we have a c- dory venture23 and a WM blow boat for the grandkids Perfect Semi Retirement with boating and RVing I wish Escape industry good luck in all their endeavors.

It's a centre console boat, as Jim mentioned... and they are used to pull skiers, and for fishing, as well as day cruising and general transportation.

Since Bayliner was mentioned... their equivalent appears to be the Element F16, for $17K USD (versus $24K USD for the Escape). As for Boston Whaler, their 160 Super Sport is similar (but the console isn't centred) for $24,322 USD.

Having made my living as a Yacht Captain for private yachts, ferries, and Navy vessels nothing is more expensive in the long term than inferior built boats. I'm sure the Escape 16 sport boat will be quality built. Having built two boats (31 and 42) for long distance sailing and living and cruising on them with my family for 26 years it was sad to see so called popular production boats offshore that after 10 years had rotting decks, rotten bulkheads, leaking decks to name just a few very expensive failures that were production related. Save your money a little longer and purchase quality built products first!
