I am sure for some that want that style of boat, it will be great. I personally like it because it does not have seats screwed to a carpeted floor that can eventually seep water below and rot the hull supports.

But you can buy this Bayliner anywhere anytime for much less with local service. They are usually cheaper during boat shows as well.

It is comparing apples to oranges as I am sure the Escape unit is much better built as I can see with the full fiberglass inner hull. However a lot of people don’t do the research and price is a big point.

Maybe they'll modify the camper frames so we could triple tow the boat on the back.

I’ve had boats for 55 years and have one now but don’t use it enough to talk about it.
Probably sell it one of these days, my violating days are behind me, but used to hit it hard when I was younger.

A bigger issue than that is that you're pretty limited where you can triple tow.

It depends on whether you'e just living on the boat in a marina or actually cruising with it. I know all our friends never really understood how much work it is to keep a boat going in a cruising situation. I think that they forgot that boats don't just magically stay in good condition, sail gently to the next port, while the owners lounge in the sunshine. Sometimes the dream doesn't match the reality.

I grew up in Sea Explorers and had boats all my life. Crewed racing sailboats on the Chesapeake Bay for several years when younger. Quit boats about 10 years ago and now have really good retirement accounts.
It was $1 a foot to slip them back then, now you have to buy the slips like a condo for over $100k on the bay.
I’m enjoying molded fiberglass trailers now.

It depends on whether you'e just living on the boat in a marina or actually cruising with it. Watching the Wynn’s Ron I see all the work involved .maintenance ,things breaking , costs ,etc. , that’s why it was my dream . I can now sit comfortably, drinking my Sunday morning coffee and go along with them . I still have to maintain and fix stuff at home but I wanted on the water . That is my peace . I need water . Too old now , but I still dream . Pat

What kind of boat is that? It's not a ski boat, not a fishing boat, not a house boat, not a tug boat. Where's the wind shield? And where's the cabin?

I have three boats- a 14' Valco aluminum very used crab boat (we repair the hull every spring and finally managed to stop the leaks!) with a 5 hp Tohatsu motor (slow but effective and technically my mom's), an 18' Sea Ranger ocean rowing boat, and an Old Town Recreational kayak. And a paddleboard but I don't really count that as a boat although it is the one I might take on a long trip in the trailer (inflatable). No speedboat and don't want one. I had a nice fiberglass sailboat but sold it about five years ago as it was either do a lot of maintenance and upgrades to continue using it or sell.

The Escape looks like a very nice boat for what it is- not so much a fishing boat, more a recreational boat for waterskiing and just pleasure boating.

It is great if they can keep the staff busy building boats when or if the trailer sales are slow...better to build than to lay off.

Now you just have to get one into the Northern lite showroom so someone can buy it to tow behind their fiberglass camper. $100,000 package deal perhaps.

Hi: Eggscape... I'm guessing if a co. making fiberglass septic tanks can make a Boler travel trailer... then a co. making Escape travel trailers can make a boat!!! They might try bath tubs next Eh? Alf
