Picked up my Escape 19 today!

Not brand new, but new to me. Purchased from markvt on the forum, can't wait to take a trip.

Big thanks to Mark for working with me during the sale, and for all of his custom work in the trailer.

Only options I would have added would have been a cot, an exterior shower, and a screen room. The last two can be added pretty easy, and it'd be an excuse to make a trip up to Chilliwack Those factors are minor in the big picture for me. The trailer was only a couple hours away from me, the timing was perfect. Mark has maintained it well, and added tasteful modifications to boot.

New To you Escape

If you are in the Chicagoland area, why not make plans to attend the Mississippi River Rally near the Quad cities at the end of the month. I would guess Mark mentioned this to you.
We would love to meet you and see your trailer. If you haven't seen the screen room installed and operating, we will have ours along and most likely put it up as we have been using it about every trip out recently. Best of luck to you with your new unit.

Lucky you, Mark did some great mods. You'll find that extra storage space really useful.

Yep, we're planning on attending the rally as the first outing in the new trailer. Thanks for the offer of showing the screen room, I'm definitely curious to see it in person. I like the idea of an attached room/buffer zone. Wife tends to yell at me if I bring muck in the trailer, or the times when I breathe oxygen around her She has a strict TOYS rule at the door at home (TAKE OFF YOUR SHOES!), so enforcing that with a screen room would be easier.

How cool is that? To be able to get a customized and lovingly maintained 19 and not have to wait? Good for you!

Congrats! When we were at ETI a couple of weeks ago going through our options list I'm pretty sure that they said that they don't have the screen room as an option anymore (this was for a 19). You may want to check with them on this.

Thanks all.

Now it's time to pack up our gear in the new trailer, and learn all the ins and outs of the Escape (well, I still need to become more educated about trailer camping in general too, as I'm still a noob).

Looking forward to meeting some people at the Mississippi River rally.

It's a treat to beat your feet on the Mississippi Mud. Lots of experienced campers at rallies. Ask lots of questions, make a list of things that you wonder about, when you visit a trailer, don't be afraid to ask for an explanation of a modification or the rationale for same. That's how we learn and make friends. Only a few of us bite and then not hard.
