If you have low blood pressure, seeing the tailgater directly behind your trailer, will raise it. I can see enough to know what's happening by using my Milenco

Grand Aero mirrors.

I’ve always been a mirror person too Glenn. I like my backup camera for hooking up but I don’t feel I’d gain much with a camera behind the Escape. Everyone camps a little differently and that’s probably true with towing styles too. If someone is crowding me, I start looking for a pullout or slow down when I get to and area appropriate for passing and let them pass. My mantra at this time is “Hammer down brother, Hell ain’t half full.”

Nice - and yes, I think there may be less expensive options available now. Ones I've looked at attach above licence plate, via same screws. Not sure about wireless vs wired cam, mostly.

More than happy to keep my BP right where it is. Hadn't seen recs for add-on back-up mirrors for TV. Assume these would attach ok to Tundra mirrors.
Have added to Amazon cart.... which is getting kinda 'fat', what with now including Husky WDH hitch per Tom (tdf-texas) recs.

The milencos fit our Highlander and stay on firmly but to get enough grip on the mirror frame, the hold down clamps bump right up to the mirror. This then prohibits adjusting the mirror “down” with the interior control. The vertical position of the factory mirror glass is just right for us so it’s not a problem but thought you should know this. We’ve had the Milencos on both the 2012 and 2018 Highlanders. (Same set).

I'm not aware of commercial trailers having rear cameras, which if needed I'm sure they would have them. That said, they do post signs that "If you can not see my mirrors, I can not see you" on the rear of the trailer. As Glenn's photo shows, not until they pull out can they be observed. Perhaps a similar sign on the rear bumper should suffice.

How about the old Yosemite Sam bumper sticker and Mud Flaps that say “Back Off”. Of course these days there would have to be profanity involved.

I’m not going to political purgatory today. I have too much to do after I get done watching football. Do you suppose there’s a reason you can’t find those bumper stickers anymore,? The last good one I saw was on an open two horse trailer with horses in the trailer. The bumper sticker said “You are what you see”. The Boy Scouts in the van were snickering for several miles before I caught on.

If you wish to use a backup camera on your trailer there is nothing wrong with that. We all add extra options for our own personal reasons.

The only thing that does get to me is when in order to justify them folks saying they are needed for safety, and this is just not true. With proper mirror use you can easily pass safely and see where vehicles are behind you. It is much better reversing using mirrors where you can see both the tow vehicle and trailer as you manoeuvre, as well as what is behind. This is even true driving tractor trailer units, though passing was more rare. With our Escape, unless the vehicle behind is very small and literally near my bumper, I can see it out of at least one mirror.

Driving safe is key no matter what you do.

Okay, back to the camping crowd I am out here with.

I've not had a problem. Often you can see the shadow of a car behind you. You also pick them up in turns or you can wag the tail a bit. I can't read their licence plate, but I know where they are.

Just like the OP I, too, had my ETI installed backup camera fail. One phone call from me to customer service and ETI arranged to have a new camera sent to me from their supplier, which happened promptly. However it was up to me to make the camera swap. Sounds easy, but it wasn't. The power supply cable I needed access to was buried somewhere behind the interior vinyl. I chose not to hunt for it and used a different approach I won't go into now. Suffice it to say the actual swap work was a PITA. That said, my frustration was tempered by the fact that I felt, from previous personal experience, that ETI was an upstanding company and Reace believed in making things right for the customer. I'm sorry to learn the OP's experience with ETI customer service was negative. And by the way, I like having the camera. Save travels, all. -Tom

If I want to see what is behind me, I just pull over a little and can see easily what is behind me, then I just mosey back to the center of my lane. Sometimes I'll even drive in the passing lane, then I can see if anyone is coming up. I dislike those roads where one lane has been heavily traveled and porpoising ensues. I then switch lanes to find the smoother one.

Good to know. Wonder if there are any Tundra drivers watching the thread, who have tried these?
I have ordered a set, and will know soon enough if they work.
Do NOT want to replace the mirrors with wider ones, as too much $$, plus figure I'd lose the heated mirror feature, which comes in handy sometimes.

I can operate the OEM mirrors with the Milencos in place. Might just have to shift them a bit, and press on the bottom of the OEM mirror so it's not hooked on the Milencos. It will shift, making a ratcheting noise, but no apparent harm.
