Raised floor in dinette
Thank you to everyone that responded to my question about the U shaped dinette. My next question is, Do you have a raised floor under your dinette, do you like it, would you do it again.

Here is the thread about our raised dinette.

Yes...would not have it any other way. Personally installed a 5 inch lift.

Hugh, that's a good thread and great work. My question would be, is the seat to window ratio the same on the new generation, as it was to the trailers prior to 2016.

I installed about a 4 inch lift in my dinette because it did not come with one. I personally love it! Much more comfortable to sit there and I am 5' 11" .... Bill

I raised our seats a couple of inches. That did the job for us and the floor stays all one level which is what we prefer.

We purchased the raised floor option for our build and are very glad we did. We sat in a 19 without the raised dinette and we felt like we were sitting in a basement apartment looking up to see out the windows.

I don't know if they changed this on the new version or not. I suspect it's the same if you're considering raising the seat. Someone here should be able to answer this question definitively, and they should chime in. :-)
Thanks.

I cannot speak to anything other than the 5.0TA I just picked up. The raised floor was standard and not an option.

When we visited ETI the first time in '16, we tagged along with a couple doing the orientation with their new 19. We all watched while the ETI crew installed customer-provided Sequoia table bases in the dinette. The new owner suspiciously crouched down to look at the underside of the new trailer, and sure-enough, the mounting screws had broken through the fiberglass(!?!).
The ETI guy went to find his patching goop. Jan whispered "THERE'S another reason to get the raised dinette..."
Well, we DID get the raised u-shaped dinette, and are really happy with it.

No, there's another reason to expect more of a so called craftsman.
There's no excuse, especially for someone doing the same task repeatedly, to drill through a floor of known thickness.
Even drilling larger holes for the nut serts that hold down my custom base didn't result in holes going through the underlying f.g.
It's disappointing to hear stories like that. But I don't think that it justifies the inconvenience of a two level floor either.
