I wasn't very clear on what I said. Like others said it is piece work, if you get $100 to put in a device and it normally takes 2 hours to put one in but you can put in one per hour then you can make a lot more $. $100 per hour instead of $100 per 2 hours. Relying on quality control after the unit is built doesn't work as a lot of stuff is hidden behind the walls etc and will not be found by quality control after it is built.

It is a two way street - give people pride in their work and loyalty to a company (remember our history??) and they will do exceptional work. Listen to them on how to improve the manufacturing process. Give them good pay and benefits. Give them respect. LEADERSHIP!!!

Yes employers have very little loyalty to their employees- none or limited benefits, no pension, etc... you get what you give . Employee satisfaction should be a managers top priority well trained happy employees will do a better job .
