And then there is the paperwork to keep track, and "just-in-time" delivery of said parts.

Maybe a new product line for the Silva company. The marketing of a moral compass. Sell them to school districts all over the world, play John Lennon’s “Imagine” every day after the Pledge of Allegiance. Make History a primary subject.

Wonder if that was the intent when I had to buy my Silva compass when I was a Boy Scout.......

That's OK. Won't be campgrounds, rivers, lakes, Grand Canyon anyway.

Love that song- especially "living lives in peace". Tell that to MS-13.

At each of those crossings it is a different product, subject to tariffs specific to that product. It's hard to say much more than that without getting into politics...

Either side of the border, it's the consumer who pays the tariff ( tax ).

For peace of mind, pick up that phone and order!
Gives you real reason to celebrate!!! Worth a drink or two, three, four,....
When we bought our trailer last year, the price of options was locked in once the sales rep initialed the build sheet for that option. That was done when you told the sales rep you wanted the option. My recommendation is to tell the sales rep you want an option as soon as you think you may be interested, to lock in the price. You can always cancel the option the day you sign your build sheet.

I'm not sure if signing off on a build sheet ( $$ amount under ETI control) can lock in the amount of a border tax ($$ amount not under ETI control). What say?

If the trailer is being imported into the US from Canada , I would believe that any import tax or duty or tariffs would be the responsibility of the purchaser and not ETI
Since no one knows if a border tax will be applied or the amount of the tax it would be impossible for ETI to calculate or lock in an amount .
This whole trade squabble between the US and Canada makes no sense to me and I am hoping that a more rational approach to the issue prevail
The people being punished are ETI and their customers with little or no gain to either country IMHO
