For those with clam style screen shelters, where do you carry them? I am considering purchasing a truck with a 6’ bed and these things are 82” long. Ideas?

Get the measurement at a 45 degree angle, may fit that way....

I sold my big Clam and bought a slightly smaller and shorter (63"), 5-sided Gazelle so it could fit in the back of my SUV. Short of doing something like that, you might have to haul it in the aisle of the trailer (not very convenient!). I collected enough from the sale of the Clam to cover the new Gazelle's cost. Bonus: the Gazelle is about 10 lbs lighter, easier to lift and carry it.

I have the 5 sided Clam and it fits in my highlander with one of the seats down.

If you are getting the 19 the larger Clam does fit through the rear passenger side access door and lays on a slight angle under the bed. Not the most convenient but it does work. At least it does in a 2010 with a Clam Escape XL.

Thanks for the info on the 19 hatch and gazelle size. Both of those are useful info. I’m used to an 8’ truck bed, but the next one is only 6’.

The largest Clam (150" X 150") will not fit (unless angled) in a 6.5' F 150 bed. The 140" X 140" Clam fits fine. Don't ask how I know...
