Not an Escape but a Conquerer
We just returned from one of our "bucket list" trips to Hwange National Park in Zimbabwe on a photo safari. It was quite an experience and I highly recommend it! While there we spotted a Conquerer in a remote campsite. I have seen these on the internet but never in person. The campers were from South Africa and very accommodating. Very nice rig!

Sightings
I purchased some custom parts for my car online so Ted and I decided to take our 17B down to Tulalip for a couple of days to avoid paying any duty. I mentioned to Ted that when I was in the U.S. a couple of weeks ago, I saw an Escape 21 parked at Bobs Burgers in Sumas. He wondered out loud if we might pass any Escapes on our short jaunt down.
The Tulalip casino lets you camp in their RV lot for free and if you register with security, you can get a free pass at the front desk for the pool and hot tub! (Cabellas and Walmart also allow RV's) Unfortunately for the casino, we're cheap guests because we don't gamble and though I may lose my woman card by admitting this, I have absolutely no interest in shopping at the Outlet Mall!
Anyways, as we headed to our preferred slot to park, guess who was parked next door? An older Escape 17B with BC plates! After a short conversation with the owners, we learned they had searched for a used one and ending up driving to Alberta to buy it. Even though our trailers are both 17B's, with the higher axle, larger tires, solar panel etc., our's seemed to dwarf theirs. Plus they had only a single battery and single propane tank mounted up front. Note to Reace: the owner was very impressed with your front storage box! Here's a few pic's for comparison.

While coming back from my grandsons Halloween Parade at his school I saw what I thought was an old fiberglass trailer in an abandoned farmhouse yard. Had to go back and look. It was a very old Argossy metal trailer. I only post this in case anyone out there knows somebody who is looking for something like this. They could contact me and I would find out what I could about it. It's about 25'miles SE of Cedar Rapids, Iowa.

What a surprise to come back to Valley of Fires Recreation Area from our day trip yesterday and find Jon Vermilye parked next to us! Jon graciously gave us a tour of his 17' when he stopped in Tupelo, MS in 2013. Shortly after that, we placed our order! It was great to visit with him again.

I have found this to be a common occurrence, because the Argosy model from Airstream was curved (just like the regular Airstream, but similar to a moulded fiberglass trailer such as a Boler) and painted white.

Hi Brian
Even though it’s been some time since I posted the location of the argosy, it’s still setting there. Saw it about two weeks ago. On our way to Niagara Falls we saw two fiberglass trailers one was an Escape near West Branch Iowa on Interstate 80. It was a 17 with green graphics. That was a week ago today. On the way back from Fort Wayne yesterday we saw a 5.0 TA just east of the south Holland overpass restaurant in Chicagonabout 10:45 AM pulled by a silver pickup. Three total fiberglass trailers not associated with the rally in 1680
Miles of highway and two were Escapes!

I did not think that the Argosy was fiberglass, but painted aluminum.

Met Brett and Ellen, from Kamloops, BC at the Dunnigan, California Northbound Rest Stop, in their 3 week old Escape 21. After picking up they'd been to Moab and Sedona in that time. This is their third Escape.

Full fledged Escape family member
This weekend we were on our second camping trip at Rathtrevor Beach with our 2005 17B that we bought it in June. In August, we visited the ETI factory on our way to Medicine Hat without the trailer. This weekend we had a couple who owns a Classic 5.0 and camped a few spots away come by and chat with us. Then another couple came by and asked about our Escape trailer. They tried to find one and did not know that Escapes were bought directly from the factory. So we're owners, visited the factory, have met our first fellow Escape owners and have had a non Escape owner ask about ours. We now feel like 'complete' Escape family members.

While camping in Whistlers, Jasper National Park this past weekend with our 21', we saw a 19' with red graphics pulled by a blue truck on Hwy 16 - Saturday September 28th. Did you stay the night?

Escape Sighting
My Escape scouts inform me that around Noon today they passed what they thought was an
Escape 19 near Williamsburg Iowa on I 80. The pic they sent showed black graphics and the
old style hatch cover over the water hookups. Good luck to you, I know you’ll be back in Ontario tomorrow or Friday for sure if that’s your plan.

Kings Canyon Sighting
Today, on our way to Sequoia RV Park, adjacent to Kings Canyon NP an Escape beeped at us -- they were going in the opposite direction and we just had a quick glimpse of lime green -- we think it might have been a 21. We'd like to know what they did while they were here because the national park is still closed.

While riding my e-bike at about 10 am today (Sept. 12) I saw an Escape 21 towed by a white full-size pickup headed south on Waveland Road just north of Comox, BC. It might have been headed to the Comox to Powell River ferry, or toward the Island Highway.
