So much for the diet.

Well, the plan was to keep my weight down, but it's amazing how much stuff you need for a week dry camping. Every little bit adds to the total. Do you buy pasta sauce in a jar or in a can? I just bought what I though would taste good and kept qualities down. But, I'm bringing my heavy resin chairs and cushions because they are comfortable. I've got enough beer and wine and liqueurs to outfit a bar. The freezer is full - bacon wrapped filet mignon, baby back ribs and Belgian chocolate coated fruit. A couple frozen chicken halves will go in Keath's 19. I've retained my cast iron fry pans against all logic ( it's a pun ).
Have the Q and a 10 lb. tank, butane stove and fuel, although I could easily make out without any of it. I've got games and books and the Sirius radio and dock and the ipod and seven pounds of batteries. I've got my 1,000 watt generator and fuel and an extension cord.
I've got my fly rods and assorted gear and my fly tying kit ( that must weigh 10 lbs. even though it's full of feathers ).
I think I've got everything we could possibly need, and if I've forgotten anything, I have brought a diary so I can keep a record.

Re: So much for the diet.

If you want to get lighter then lose the diary ... that way you won't be adding stuff you might have forgotten.
