Split Refrigerator and Freezer?

We were looking at pictures in "It's Friday" and noticed that some of the refrigerators seem to have a separate freezer compartment (separate door). Is this an upgrade? Is it advisable in a 21?

Two door 6.7 Dometic became standard in November 2014. Those with single door 6.7's who don't like them are likely eligible for an upgrade. Contact Escape for details.

We picked up our 21 in September and it came with the separate freezer compartment. Works out just like at home and it really kept things frozen. It easily held a 10 # bag of ice. Loren

What Ross said Maury and Julie. The single door was the RML8555. The two door is the RMD8555. It's cooling unit is slightly different than the RML, and most owners report it cools a bit better. Ours was one of the first several trailers to get the two door (Jan/Feb 2015) and we're happy with the performance so far.
